With a goal to promote more sustainable and nutritious foods, FC Barcelona teamed up with Heura Foods. The plant-based food brand be sponsoring the Barça Women’s team. Game-changing digital, stadium, F&B, consumer and player initiatives will begin this season, bringing a new impetus to women’s football.
The agreement between FC Barcelona and Heura Foods has been made possible thanks to a series of common values, such as a commitment to innovation, effort and teamwork, which Barça women’s team perfectly embodies both on and off the field.
Likewise, Heura, the plant-based meat company consistently demonstrates these values through its efforts to inspire people all over the world to unite to build a better, more sustainable future, where animals are left out of the protein production equation.
As part of the new partnership, Heura’s culinary, nutrition and R&D teams will work hand-in-hand with FC Barcelona experts on the most cutting-edge ways to maximise nutritional performance, creating informative and engaging content that empowers the public to discover and better understand the options offered by plant-based food in the daily diet. Plant-based diets are considered to be nutrient-dense and packed with fibre, healthy fats, protein, vitamins and minerals.
The partnership also represents a new step forward for women’s football, which adds the support of the leading and dynamic Heura, currently present in more than 18,000 points of sale in more than 20 countries around the world.
Starting at the Joan Gamper Cup on the 23rd of August, where the Barça Women’s team will play against Montpellier, sports enthusiasts can find for the first time plant-based Heura options at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, such as: Heura Chicken Sandwich and Heura Sausage.
