Recycled waste speakers – Gomi transforms old plastic waste into bluetooth speakers

“SOUND NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD”

“FROM WASTE
⸻ TO BEAUTY”

Hand-crafted from ‘non recyclable’ waste plastics. Powered by second-life lithium batteries.

Gomi has introduced a line of portable Bluetooth speakers made with recycled e-bike batteries and scrap plastic as the shell. The ‘Collection One’ sculptures, individually created in the studio’s coastal location, demonstrate to consumers how beauty can be made from trash.

Thanks to the project, Gomi claims it has been able to save six tonnes of waste plastic from landfills, helping contribute to a healthier planet. Gomi has partnered with its neighboring recycling companies to transform the waste back into raw materials.

The modular design enables each of the 29 components to be serviced or replaced separately. Further, Gomi will offer trade-in, maintenance, and product upgrading capabilities, and its Bluetooth connectivity may be improved.
