Nico Rosberg unveils the AMG One, a F1 inspired Hypercar

Announcement by Nico Rosberg, former professional racing driver who competed in Formula One from 2006 to 2016, winning the World Drivers’ Championship in 2016 with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport.

Rosberg announces his brand new custom AMG One with a F1 Engine for the very first time.

This hypercar, powered by the same hybrid engine I used in Formula 1, feels like a dream come true.

According to Rosberg, it all started in 2017 with a vision: to create a car inspired by his F1 car at the time. The result? A plug-in hybrid engine featuring a 1.6L V6 turbo, with components directly from the original engine he raced with.

Rosberg continues, every aspect of the AMG One, from its aerodynamics to the powertrain and interior, is designed to replicate an F1 car’s performance and feel. The last hypercar Mercedes produced was the CLK GTR Straßenversion in the ’90s, making this a historic moment for the brand.

This car is as close as it gets to a racing car, with all software and hardware developed in-house. Unlike a F1 team that requires seventeen engineers to start the car, this marvel uses sensors and software to handle that complexity, truly a technological feat.
