Exciting news on the horizon for racing fans and environmental enthusiasts alike! Nico Rosberg announces that he is thrilled to be joining forces with Formula 1 and Silverstone at the British F1 race to decarbonise Formula 1 racing events.
The Rosberg Philanthropies, in collaboration with The Oxford SDG Impact Lab, Formula 1, and Silverstone, will focus on reducing the carbon footprint of the Silverstone race circuit.
Oxford fellows will conduct on-site research during the race to develop sustainability recommendations, focusing on fan travel and biodiversity.
Three postgraduate students from Oxford will work on actionable research in two key areas: Fan Travel and Biodiversity. They will analyse air quality, fan travel habits, and the impact on local biodiversity to provide meaningful recommendations for sustainability.
