Monaco’s solar cadastre (solar resource map) revamped and version 2.0 is now available

Monaco continues to push forward with renewable energy solutions, enhancing tools like the solar cadastre to support its green initiatives

The Principality of Monaco has launched version 2.0 of its solar cadastre (solar resource map), an interactive map designed to facilitate sustainable development by assessing solar energy potential.

Accessible at www.cadastresolaire.mc, this upgraded tool enables users to easily identify the solar potential of individual roofs in Monaco. It calculates usable roof space for photovoltaic panel installations and estimates potential annual electricity production.

Solar energy remains a key renewable resource for Monaco, with its production costs steadily declining over the past 20 years. The new platform offers homeowners, property managers, and individuals essential data to make informed decisions about deploying solar panels. The 2.0 platform also provides detailed information on how to proceed with installations, obtain work permits, and apply for subsidies for photovoltaic systems.
