The Monaco Yacht Show is making exciting changes to its themed exhibition areas with the aim of appealing to a fresh, younger audience of yacht enthusiasts in 2022.
The Monaco Yacht Show stands as the world’s premier showcase of super-yachts, renowned for its blend of exclusivity, excellence, and innovation. This year, it’s curating a select group of exhibitors, featuring 500 leading companies in the industry and presenting 105 remarkable super and mega-yachts.
With an average attendance of 33,000 participants, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) provides a unique annual opportunity for leaders in the yachting industry to come together and explore the latest cutting-edge products and luxurious services.
Scheduled to take place at Port Hercules from September 28th to October 1st, the event will showcase some of the largest super-yachts, including the 115m Lürssen-built super-yacht Ahpo and Benetti’s 65.4m super-yacht, Triumph.
As part of its three-year development plan, this year’s Monaco Yacht Show will introduce a fresh exhibition area dedicated to sustainable solutions in the yachting industry. The 2022 edition of the show will see the addition of a Sustainability Hub, marking the second installment of the program aimed at engaging a new generation of yacht clients.
The Sustainability Hub will spotlight companies specializing in innovative and proven technologies designed to minimize the environmental impact of luxury yachts, spanning from the construction phase to ownership and chartering. The exhibitors have been carefully chosen by the Water Revolution Foundation, working in collaboration with the event organizers to ensure the quality of the showcased products. Covering 200 square meters within Darse Sud, the Sustainability Hub will serve as a hub for pioneering businesses offering sustainable solutions.
Robert Van Tol, Executive Director of the Water Revolution Foundation, expressed the significance of the Sustainability Hub, underlining the Monaco Yacht Show’s leadership in the field and the foundation’s expertise in sustainability. The new exhibition area aims to spotlight technological advancements that will bring tangible improvements to the yachting world, as well as promote and reward sustainable solutions.
In addition to the Sustainability Hub, the Monaco Yacht Show is introducing its Adventure Area, a combination of the former luxury Car Deck and Tender & Toys exhibitions. This new area will be hosted across two locations, Quai Antoine and Quai Jarlan, and will feature a wide range of sports and day-trip tenders, luxury and off-road vehicles, water toys, helicopters, and nautical gadgets—all tailored for cutting-edge yachting experiences. This expansion of the Adventure Area underscores the show’s commitment to delivering the finest yachting experiences to its visitors.
The Monaco Yacht Show also announced the 6th edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit, set to take place on September 27, 2022, at the Monaco Yacht Club. This event will address practical questions related to yacht chartering, purchasing, and construction in front of a pre-qualified audience of experienced and new yacht owners and charterers.
By unveiling these new themed exhibitions, the Monaco Yacht Show aims to help the industry redefine the yachting experience. It reflects the show’s dedication to engaging the emerging generation of super-yacht clientele and responding to the growing demand for explorer yachts that can venture off the beaten track, providing adventurous experiences for discerning travelers. This new generation is challenging conventional yachting standards, revolutionizing luxury with its epicurean vision and a desire for unique and unrestricted exploration.
