A delegation from Monaco’s City Hall is currently in Strasbourg to mark the 20th anniversary of the Principality’s accession to the Council of Europe.
Leading the delegation are Marjorie Crovetto, Deputy Mayor and Vice President of the Delegation to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe; Jacques Pastor, Deputy Mayor and Crovetto’s alternate in the Chamber of Regions; and Nada Lorenzi, Municipal Councilor and the Mayor’s alternate in the Chamber of Local Authorities.
The delegation is taking part in events celebrating this significant milestone, which will run until Thursday, October 3. The highlight of the visit includes a speech by H.S.H. Prince Albert II on Wednesday, followed by the unveiling of an artwork by artist Mr. OneTeas, a project to which the three officials contributed.
Monaco’s Mayor, Georges Marsan, who is also President of the Delegation to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, regularly participates in sessions at the Council of Europe alongside Crovetto, Pastor, and Lorenzi, where they discuss various topics.
Monaco’s City Hall has also seen several of its initiatives, such as “Monaco Zero Cigarette Butt,” “A Birth, A Tree,” and the “Mùnegu Repair Café,” featured in the third volume of the Council of Europe’s Human Rights and Environment Handbook.
