In December 2020, Meghan Markle added “sustainable investor” to her resume. The former Suits actress invested in vegan beverage company Clevr Blends, which famously created the world’s first instant oat milk latte. This is the first public investment announced by Markle.
Hannah Mendoza, the co-founder of Clevr, a company that crafts instant lattes, took to Instagram to share the story behind the brand’s success.

“Three years ago, everything changed,” Mendoza said. “None other than Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, had started drinking our lattes. Not only did she love the product, but she was extremely passionate about supporting female founders, our sustainable sourcing and our food justice giveback.”
Mendoza continued, “Meghan ended up becoming our first investor, adviser and biggest Clevr advocate.”
