Located near the famed Mirabeau and Portier corners of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix circuit, this ambitious project brings together architectural luminaries like Renzo Piano, Norman Foster, Stefano Boeri, and Tadao Ando to create a vibrant, eco-district.

Mareterra adds 3% to Monaco’s land area and will feature over 130 super-prime residences, a marina, retail spaces, and the principality’s largest green public park. The development prioritizes sustainability, supporting Monaco’s 2050 carbon neutrality goals with 80% renewable energy-powered heating and cooling systems, underground parking, and abundant electric charging stations.

Anchoring the project is Renzo Piano’s Le Renzo, a 17-story, ship-like structure designed to blend seamlessly into its coastal setting. Rising 71 meters and cantilevering over the ocean with a seawater pool, the building embodies Piano’s dynamic relationship with the sea. “It levitates,” explains Mareterra’s managing director Guy Thomas Levy-Soussan, highlighting the seamless integration of architecture and nature.

Mareterra’s design balances public and private spaces with creative landscaping, forming a harmonious “cosmopolitan village.” Villas, townhouses, and apartments are nestled in an undulating, car-free environment, blending Monaco’s Belle Époque elegance with contemporary sustainability. The project’s completion on December 4th marks a new chapter for Monaco, uniting innovation, luxury, and ecological responsibility.

The inauguration underscores Monaco’s dedication to sustainable development while preserving its unique heritage and identity.
