On October 1, the EU recently kicked off its #Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The CBAM will look to impose a carbon border #tax on some imported goods in order to level the playing field for #European firms that operate in a market with a price on carbon, when some of their competitors oversees do not.
This could lead to other markets to adopt their own carbon tax so that they get the money from taxing carbon and not the European Union.
