Formula 1 has secured its iconic Monaco Grand Prix on the calendar until 2031, thanks to a newly extended agreement between the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) and the Formula One Group.
The updated deal, extending the original commitment through 2025 by an additional six years, will see F1 cars continue to race through the legendary Monaco streets until the end of the 2031 season.
Since its inception in 1929 and its inclusion in the very first Formula 1 World Championship calendar in 1950, the Monaco Grand Prix has been celebrated as one of the world’s premier sporting events.
Known for its tight turns and challenging layout, the circuit remains a true test of driver skill and concentration. For the 2025 season, the Monaco Grand Prix will serve as the eighth of 24 races, scheduled from May 22 to May 25.
I’m delighted that Formula 1 will continue to race in Monaco until 2031. The streets of Monte Carlo are unique and a famous part of Formula 1, and the Monaco Grand Prix remains a race that all drivers dream of winning. I would like to extend a special thanks to H.S.H. Albert Prince II of Monaco, Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club de Monaco and everyone involved in the extension of this important partnership.”
– Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1.
“I would particularly like to thank especially H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Stefano Domenicali, and everyone involved in the extension of this contract. The signing of this new agreement with the Formula One Group until 2031 not only confirms the strength of our relationship, but reaffirms our commitment to offering all visitors an unrivalled, first-class experience at race weekends.”
– Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club de Monaco.
