£255,000 raised for 10 new LSE Stelios Scholarships by Stelios Philanthropic Foundation

The recent 20-year reunion of the Stelios Scholars, hosted in Monaco, has raised an impressive £255,000 for future scholarships. Organized by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, the event encouraged both past and current London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Stelios Scholars to contribute through the Foundation’s JustGiving page.

The Foundation matched all donations, reaching the total amount that will fund an additional 10 scholarships beginning in autumn 2025.

“This way we are encouraging people who benefitted in the past from a Stelios Scholarship to start or increase their own giving back to society,” the Foundation said.

During the reunion, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, and LSE President Professor Larry Kramer addressed over 60 scholars.

Sir Stelios shared the ‘story so far’ of the partnership between his Foundation and the LSE © Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. Their talks celebrated the ongoing partnership and reflected on the impact of £3.7 million in scholarships funded by Sir Stelios to date.

There were also inspiring contributions from former scholars.
